Do you truly love and appreciate the amazing person you are?

It's often difficult to look at ourselves in a mirror and not see our flaws but have you appreciated yourself for who you are lately? I know this may sound strange but I challenge you to have a conversation with yourself out loud in front of the mirror and list all the things you love about being you. You will be amazed at how much this does for your self esteem and confidence, especially if you make this a regular practice. Also throw in some affirmations. For example, I am a confident, strong women; I am an amazing mother; I am a great wife; I am beautiful, I am successful at all I do, etc. Say the words claiming all of them as truths. Say it like you mean it and believe it down to your core! Really get emotionally connected to those words. Here's another tip: You may want to have a box of Kleenex within arms reach :)

If this seems too uncomfortable for you, you can write it down instead.

Why are positive affirmations so important? They are an expression or idea that is repeated, often without thinking about it, used to impress the subconscious with a thought that can motivate you, remind you of your talents and provide the confidence you need to accomplish goals. Regular use of positive affirmations can help change your attitude, behaviors and habits. Those who utilize the power of positive affirmations report that you can use them to heal, to find romance and prosperity, and to achieve peace of mind.

Live out your day remembering these words and walk with your shoulders back claiming these truths. You are more than enough just the way you are.

"Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy." ~ Norman Vincent Peale
