How do you respond to a compliment?

I love this excerpt from the book 'Make Yourself Unforgettable' from the Dale Carnegie Training library: "With regard to accepting compliments and praise, remember this phrase from the British writer Samuel Johnson: 'What is graciously given should be graciously received'. Feeling confident that you've done well doesn't mean that you're an egomaniac. On the contrary, the ability to accept credit where credit is due is a basic element of genuine class".

Some thoughts to ponder:

How do you respond to a compliment?

Do you graciously accept it or do you downplay it or shrug it off like it's no big deal?

How do you think your reaction correlates to your self-confidence and the way you feel about yourself?

You are an amazing person, with unique gifts and abilities, and a heart of love and compassion. How are you honoring yourself today?

Happy Monday!
